Carp Cup 2025

The third edition of the innovative event for carp anglers from all over Poland!

About the Project
Third Edition

What is the Carp Cup?

The Carp Cup project was established in 2019. The owner of the Szachty fishery launched the Grand Prix Szachty Fishery – a series of carp fishing competitions consisting of qualifiers and a grand final, where participants had the chance to win attractive prizes and substantial cash payouts. The immense success of this event created the need to organize a similar competition but on a larger scale.

The first edition of the Carp Cup was announced at the end of 2022. From the very beginning, the event attracted significant interest and gained increasing media attention and popularity with each passing month. Initially, the organizer partnered with Arkadiusz Kraszewski, the manager of the Wygonin fishery, known for projects such as the Polish Junior Carp Fishing Championships, which resulted in a strong start for the project.

The start of the 10 elimination rounds was a huge logistical and organizational challenge. The scale of the project led to the involvement of new people well-known in the carp fishing community. Among those who joined the Carp Cup team were Sebastian Lemke, Maciej Gąsior, Marek Szczęch, and Patryk Taterski. These individuals had a significant impact on the development of the project, and their active participation enabled the professional execution of the goals and objectives set by the organizer.

The first edition of the competition concluded with the Grand Final at the Dębowa reservoir, where 31 teams, selected from the qualifiers, competed. The event was capped off with a prize-giving ceremony for the winners, which has since become a significant moment in the history of carp fishing in Poland. During the event, the winning teams were also awarded the promised prizes – a total of 250.000 PLN in cash.

The satisfaction and contentment, along with some dissatisfaction from teams that didn’t manage to reach the podium, gave the organizer the green light to plan the next edition. In an effort to highlight Poland’s significance on the international carp fishing stage, the creator of the Carp Cup expanded the event to 14 eliminations, selecting the best possible water bodies in the country for the next competition. The need to guarantee the highest quality for the participants of the Carp Cup led to the decision to host the second edition’s Grand Final at the nearly 300-hectare Kierskie Lake in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. The vastness of the water and its wilderness met the basic criteria, though no carp fishing competition had ever been held there before. The Grand Final held there, along with the local fish population, tested the skills of many teams, which ultimately led to the decision that, in the third edition, the Grand Final would return to the legendary Dębowa Lake. Additionally, in the third edition, a new format was introduced on a trial basis, using the so-called “playoffs,” which will allow teams finishing in lower positions to try again, free of charge, for a chance to fight for the top prize.

A professional team, extensive experience, and the capital of our partners are the recipe and, at the same time, a guarantee of the quality and innovation of the Carp Cup.
